Although I had no expectations for it, last weekend turned out to be a lot of fun. The reason for this is that I ended up flying to Dallas on Friday afternoon, and then spent Friday night, Saturday and Sunday afternoon living it up throughout the city of Dallas.

While this may sound like a trip that was well planned out, it actually just happened spontaneously. I happened to stumble across a travel deal (which included a flight, rental car and hotel room), and because I had decided that I needed to start enjoying life more, I went ahead and booked the deal.

Looking back on my weekend, I’m extremely happy that I made the decision to do something spontaneous. I had an amazing time while I was in Dallas, and that would have never happened if I hadn’t taken a bit of a risk and booked that travel deal at the very last minute.

Since I had such a good time during my trip, this experience taught me that although there may be situations where I am hesitant to do something, I may end up having an incredible time if I decide to take a chance on something.
